Proven Fixation Technology and Advanced Bearing Options Combine to Better Match Individual Patient Demands

MADRID, June 3, 2010 - Zimmer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZMH; SIX: ZMH), a leader in musculoskeletal
care, will be showcasing its extended Acetabular Cup portfolio at this year's
EFORT (European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and
Traumatology) Congress in Madrid, Spain. The recently launched Zimmer
Allofit(R) IT, Continuum(TM) and Trilogy(R) IT Systems incorporate proven
fixation technologies and an integrated taper design that give surgeons the
ability to choose from a range of bearing options to better match the demands
of individual patients.

"Providing a more personalized fit to patients and increasing range of
motion are key points of emphasis in our acetabular offerings," said
Katarzyna Mazur, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, EMEA and General
Manager, Zimmer GmbH. "The versatile nature of our Acetabular Cup portfolio
incorporates multiple cup liners to provide surgeons with the cup and bearing
options that best fit their individual patients' anatomy and lifestyles."

Hip replacement surgery patients represent diverse age groups and
lifestyles. As a result, surgeons need to consider a variety of implant
bearings to accommodate their patients' needs. Zimmer's 3-in-1 system of
bearing options is applicable for a wide range of clinical indications. The
Metasul(R) Liner incorporates Zimmer's Metasul Metal-on-Metal Technology
which provides stability and low wear and has more than twenty years of
successful clinical history. Longevity(R) Highly Crosslinked Polyethylene,
the principal technology behind the polyethylene liner, is highly resistant
to wear and aging with more than ten years of clinical experience. BIOLOX(R)
delta Ceramic Liner Technology provides excellent biocompatibility, low wear,
high hardness and good mechanical performance.

The Continuum Cup, recently launched globally, is made with Zimmer's
Trabecular Metal(TM) Technology, a highly porous tantalum material that
supports initial stability and long term biologic fixation. The Trilogy IT
Cup builds on the success of the Harris/Galante(TM) Porous and HGP II Cups by
combining proven features with new technology designed to inhibit the
formation and migration of polyethylene debris.
