DUBLIN, May 26, 2010 - According to a recent English survey, Hitlantis, which last autumn
launched a new era in online music services, is the world's most generous
band site. Hitlantis gives its bands as much as 90 per cent of the revenue
from music sold, which is quite a category of its own compared to other
players in the business.
The online income received by performers was investigated in England
extensively from numerous sources. The study can be read at

"According to this study, Hitlantis is the world's best and most generous
service for artists," is how Hitlantis' Managing Director Marcus Tilgmann
sums up the result of the study. Comparing Hitlantis, dubbed the Spotify of
indie music, to its "model" is flattering, since as many as 1.6 million
monthly plays is the requirement for paying the remuneration of about 200
euro - and not even Lady Gaga achieves that," is Tilgmann's comparison.
Heading for success
Hitlantis is experiencing a period of intense international growth and
has recently also attracted the attention of international media. For
example, CBS and CNBC have reported in the United States about the new and
unique music community, calling it the most interesting music service in the
world right now.
"We are really glad about this, of course," Tilgmann says.
Hitlantis is a new music community and service, bringing together music
makers and consumers not only in the virtual world but also in real life.
Hitlantis aims to get 125,000 bands and 1,25 million users on its site by the
end of 2010. User-friendly Hitlantis passes on to groups as much as 90 per
cent of the revenue from music sold.
