CAMBRIDGE, England, April 8, 2010 - Cambridge-based ACIS (Advanced Communication and Information Systems)
today announced the award of a GBP5m contract to supply the Real Time
Passenger Information (RTPI) system for Dorset County Council's Weymouth
Showcase scheme. ACIS will deliver the first element of the Department for
Transport funded transport package for the 2012 Games.

Dorset County Council, Head of Highways Andy Ackerman said "we are
looking forward to working with ACIS to deliver improvements to public
transport in the Weymouth area". Ackerman continued, "As part of Dorset
County Council's Weymouth Transport Package for the 2012 Games scheme, it
will make journey times more reliable and provide a lasting legacy for
Dorset.

Under the terms of the contract ACIS will equip over 100 buses, from
three bus operators, with Automatic Vehicle Location and deploy 100 on street
passenger information displays at key locations throughout the town.

Additionally, the ACIS technology will provide the travelling public with
improved travel information through a variety of channels such as web, SMS,
on bus displays and at the improved bus/rail interchange. It will also help
reduce journey times through the provision of intelligent bus priority at
traffic lights. For Bus Operators the new system will deliver enhanced fleet
management capabilities promoting both efficiency and punctuality.

Visitors to the Olympic sailing events being held in the Weymouth and
Portland area will require up to the minute information on events and how to
travel to them. The ACIS system will meet this need by delivering real-time
updates to a large number of people simultaneously using an innovative
approach based on an advanced system architecture and GRPS technology.

"The ACIS real time passenger information system is integral to the
Weymouth Showcase scheme", commented Dan Sandhu, CEO, ACIS. "Our proven
technology, combined with the wider Weymouth transport package of measures,
will enable Dorset County Council to rise to the challenge of improving
public transport accessibility to the town, and deliver a sustainable and
environmentally sound public transport infrastructure for local people and
tourists."
