ARNHEM, The Netherlands, March 5, 2010 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting,
engineering and management services company, today announced that it has
signed a five year Multi-Country Agreement with Esso Belgium, a division of
ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical BVBA for providing environmental services in
ten European countries. In each of these countries such services involve
assisting ExxonMobil affiliates ("ExxonMobil") with the implementation of
their environmental services program in Europe. The ten countries include
Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom,
Austria, Ireland and Switzerland. The above Multi-Country Agreement does not
itself impose any purchase obligations; any such commitments would be through
call-off orders issued by ExxonMobil that incorporate by reference the terms
of the Multi-Country Agreement.
Under any such orders, ARCADIS will provide a broad range of
environmental services related to the remediation of retail stations,
refineries, chemical plants and other production and distribution facilities.
Services include environmental consulting, contracting, engineering, planning
and oversight activities such as site assessments, soil and groundwater
investigations, risk assessments, modelling, design and implementation of
remediation plans, pilot testing, regulatory advisory work and health &
safety program implementation.
"This important Multi-Country Agreement will potentially generate a
substantial amount of work for ARCADIS," said Michiel Jaski, Executive Board
member for ARCADIS. "We were selected by ExxonMobil based on our ability to
deliver services in different geographies, our strong technical capabilities
and our performance and commitment in the area of health & safety".
