Argus Settles Copyright Abuse Case Against TFS in London
By Tradition Financial Services, PRNEThursday, December 9, 2010
LONDON, December 10, 2010 - Global energy price reporting agency Argus and foreign exchange and
commodity broker Tradition Financial Services (TFS) have settled their
disputes regarding infringement of Argus' copyright and breach of contract.
TFS has agreed to pay Argus Media a substantial sum in an out of court
settlement that resolves legal actions in the High Court in London.
"This agreement brings to an end a protracted legal dispute and
vindicates Argus' position that TFS infringed its copyrights. Argus always
prefers to work with its clients to ensure that they are appropriately
licensed. But Argus is also prepared to take legal action, if necessary, to
defend its intellectual property rights" said Adrian Binks, the chairman and
chief executive of Argus Media.
