Ballast Nedam NV: Investigation Into Foreign Entity 1998 - 2001

NIEUWEGEIN, Netherlands, January 21, 2011 - Ballast Nedam has begun an internal investigation in response to a
request by the tax authorities for information on the accounts of a foreign
entity covering the period 1998 - 2001. This foreign entity was closed down
in 2001. Ballast Nedam has handed over the accounts related to this
investigation to the Public Prosecution Service for possible further
examination. Ballast Nedam shall cooperate with their investigation in any
way possible. Ballast Nedam is looking into the possibility of pressing
charges.
