Two New Digital Strategists Complement Agency's Growing Capabilities
LONDON, February 7, 2011 - Daisy Wallace, formerly of The Television Consultancy (TVC), has been
appointed to the new role of Broadcast and Content Consultant at Ketchum
Pleon, one of the world's leading PR consultancies, where she will be
responsible for overseeing the end-to-end creative and production of
visual content for social media campaigns and advising a broadcast
strategy. Her focus will be on developing innovative and original
storytelling solutions and creating interactive opportunities that are
seamlessly integrated throughout client PR programmes.
"I'm really excited to join Ketchum Pleon," said Wallace. "It's an
incredibly creative and forward-thinking environment, and it will be a
great opportunity for me to combine my storytelling and creative skills
with Ketchum Pleon's wide-reaching network of PR professionals." Wallace's
background is in broadcast journalism, broadcast consultancy and leading
teams who deliver integrated communications across all disciplines, i.e.
broadcast, digital and traditional PR. Most recently she worked on
financial, public sector and arts campaigns for clients that include
Virgin Atlantic, Louis Vuitton, Visa and British Gas. Wallace has already
begun supporting campaigns for Ketchum Pleon's healthcare and consumer
products clients.
"The integration of PR and social media is reshaping communications
bringing new understanding of audiences, evolving how we engage and retain
communities and increasingly how we measure and optimise campaigns," said
Avril Lee, partner and deputy CEO of Ketchum Pleon London. "Daisy's new
role will help Ketchum Pleon deliver market-leading social media content
as we help position our clients in this fast-paced, instantly developing
sphere of fully integrated communications," added Lee. In addition,
Wallace represents an important creative resource for Ketchum's large
global network of creative and digital specialists.
In addition to Wallace, Ketchum Digital recently added two Digital
Strategists Kate Matlock and community management expert Alastair Sibley,
both based in London.
Educated on three continents, Matlock recently completed her M.A. in
design studies at Central Saint Martins, where she studied the link
between online profiles and Internet searches in relation to trust. At
Ketchum Pleon, she will be responsible for stewarding client brands and
reputations online and creating content that delivers measurable and
impactful results that match clients' business and communications
objectives.
Sibley began his work with online communities in 2002 at part of the
Channel4 community management and moderation team. Armed with a passion
for community management and a solid technical understanding of the Web
and its cultural foundations, Sibley brings to Ketchum Pleon wide range of
experience, having worked for large public-facing corporations such as
Associated Newspapers, small Web start-ups, and even community-focused
brand research consultancies.
"As we continue our strategy of embedding experienced digital expertise in
offices across our global PR network, our clients - worldwide and domestic
- will benefit immensely from the energy, enthusiasm and expertise
provided by Kate and Alastair," Lee added.
