By De La Rue, PRNEMonday, May 23, 2011
LONDON, May 24, 2011 -
Speaking to financial broadcaster www.cantos.com, De La
Rue Chief Executive Tim Cobbold says he has ambitious plans for the future
and has announced a comprehensive new improvement plan.
"Our goal here is to restore the business to an operating
profit in excess of GBP100m per annum. And we think you'll see the
improvements coming through over the next three years."
Cobbold confirms there is no progression on talks with De La
Rue's principle customer, but that their reputation in the market is still a
strong one, and order in-takes from loyal customers have not been affected.
He re-iterates a company-wide focus on innovation and
cost-cutting, revealing plant closures and redundancies may be on the
horizon.
