Faiveley Transport Opts for Jedox and Jaspersoft in Developing its Business Intelligence Platform

FREIBURG, Germany, September 22, 2010 - Jedox, one of the primary publishers of Business Intelligence
software and Open Source Performance Management solutions in Europe, has
announced today that Faiveley Transport, one of the leading global suppliers
of railway systems and services, has selected Jedox and Jaspersoft for the
implementation and management of its joint Business Intelligence platform,
with Jedox and Jaspersoft solutions eventually being rolled out across the
entire group.

Faiveley Transport is a French company with
international operations provided by its 45 production sites worldwide
(France, Germany, China, India, Brazil, United Kingdom, USA, etc.).

As part of the rollout of its Lawson M3 ERP software, Faiveley
Transport is seeking a Business Intelligence solution so as to provide a
complete overview of the group's business activities and the performance of
its business units.

Following a call for tenders launched to traditional key
players in the Business Intelligence sector, Faiveley selected the solution
proposed by Jedox and Jaspersoft.

The first applications using PALO, the Business Intelligence
solution created by Jedox, are currently being rolled out in Faiveley
Transport's data warehouse; these applications cover planning and analysis
requirements for "Supplier Claims" and Financial Management.

Amongst the projects, Faiveley Transport will additionally use
PALO software in budget preparation.

The objective is for the daily performance of Faiveley
Transport to be managed by several hundred PALO users, doing planning, budget
preparation, forecasting, reporting, dashboards and data analysis via a Web
browser or Excel via Citrix.

For its reporting requirements, Faiveley Transport has
additionally opted to roll out Jaspersoft in order to provide all of its
entities with special-purpose dashboards and reporting tools.

Faiveley Transport has opted for Smile in the implementation
and integration of Jedox and Jaspersoft solutions.

The Open Source choice

Whilst Faiveley Transport was particularly impressed by the
involvement of different teams in providing the design and solution for its
project, the Open Source dimension was additionally a key factor in making
its decision due to cost efficiency and also the performance levels it could
offer. Jedox and Jaspersoft solutions, as they are based on Open Source
components, were designed to be integrated into third-party tools. Open
Source components can be installed on any operating system supporting a Java
application server and enable the development of flexible, rapid,
easy-to-implement and high-performance BI tools in any commercial
environment.
