MELVILLE, New York - JUMPS INTO TOP 10 OVERALL IN SECOND ANNUAL SUNDAY TIMES GREEN LIST

The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAIN), a leading natural and organic products company, today announced the selection of Hain Celestial UK as a recipient of The Sunday Times Best Green Companies Award 2009 with the rank of No. 1 in the food and drink sector. In overall rankings the Company jumped up 31 places into the top 10 this year due to an impressive menu of initiatives to limit its impact on the environment. According to the second annual “Sunday Times Green List” published with The Sunday Times on Sunday, May 24, in overall rankings Hain Celestial UK scored tops in its field among 60 companies recognized for their efforts to reduce waste and educate employees on the best and most efficient recycling methods.
