Hundreds of International Breast Cancer Survivors and Supporters Walk Downtown Hamilton, Canada to Kick Start World Conference on Breast Cancer

HAMILTON, Ontario, May 30, 2011 -

The 6th World Conference on Breast Cancer will be hosted in Hamilton,
Ontario, Canada
. The Conference brings together hundreds of breast cancer
survivors, advocates, and health professionals and researchers from developed
and developing countries. The purpose is to build a global network where a
woman in Kenya has the same access to breast cancer education, screening,
treatment support and advocacy as a woman in Canada.

What:

The Conference begins with opening ceremonies and the conference
delegates walking silently through the Hamilton downtown to build awareness
about breast cancer.

Through the week, education sessions (
wcbcf.webplus.net/program.html) will be held for delegates led by
international breast cancer experts.

The Conference will end with the Youth Day (
wcbcf.webplus.net/youthday.html) for youths aged 15 years and older.
