iCrossing Reinforces Social Media Practice

- Names SVP of Social Media; Adds Former Forrester Research Senior Analyst as VP, Strategy

iCrossing, (news.icrossing.com) a global digital marketing agency, announced today the promotion of Antony Mayfield to senior vice president of social media. Mayfield will be responsible for driving iCrossing’s social media practice worldwide. Mayfield previously served as head of social media in the U.K. iCrossing also announced that Brian Haven, former senior analyst at Forrester Research, has joined iCrossing as vice president, strategy.

Antony Mayfield joined iCrossing U.K., previously Spannerworks, in 2006. Since then, his team has pioneered approaches to marketing and communications online, working with brands including Turner, Toyota and Channel 4. He was instrumental in developing iCrossing’s NetworkSense mapping technology, which allows agency analysts to build visual representations of how brands are connected to social networks, as well as the Social Spaces Framework, an industry-leading approach for large organizations engaging with online networks. Before iCrossing, Mayfield worked in corporate and brand communications for more than a decade, most recently as a director in the Bell Pottinger Group. He is a regular public speaker on issues around social media and marketing, and writes on his personal blog Open Minds, Finds, Conversations (www.antonymayfield.com) and iCrossing’s “Connect” blog, (connect.icrossing.co.uk).

Brian Haven joins iCrossing as vice president, strategy. He is an industry expert in social media and customer engagement. Previously, Haven was a senior analyst at Forrester Research where he covered social computing and its impact on brands. His past experience spans design strategy, design research, customer experience, and interaction design, and he has led client engagements with companies like Adobe, Best Buy, Dell, Fidelity, Honda, MTV, Research in Motion and UPS. Haven has been a frequent keynote speaker for both client and industry conferences, and won Forrester’s Top Keynote award in 2008. He holds a master’s degree in design from Carnegie Mellon University. Haven writes frequently on his personal blog, thoughts.birdahonk.com and will be contributing to greatfinds.icrossing.com.

The moves further build iCrossing’s social media practice and reinforce the company’s strategy to create connected brands that are visible, useful, usable, desirable and engaged.
