LONDON, June 25, 2010 - Interflora has won one of the major prizes at the 2010 New Media Age
Effectiveness Awards, one of the biggest events in the interactive media
industry.

The awards aim to demonstrate and promote the quality of new media usage
in the UK. Interflora - the market leader in flower delivery to the UK and
Ireland - scooped the award for Best Use of Email.

Held every year at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, the NMA awards
ceremony brings people together from across the digital sector to meet, talk
and network, as well as to recognise and celebrate the most effective work
done in the industry over the past year.

Email marketing has always been an important way for Interflora to
communicate with its customers. Working with RedEye (www.redeye.com )-
the market leaders in behavioural email - Interflora implemented its
innovative Customer Contact Plan to help improve customer communication
through email marketing.

It's important to Interflora that customers feel valued and in control of
their email subscription, which is what the Customer Contact Plan strived to
achieve. The plan worked to engage more customers by introducing a monthly
four-week email communication plan, a new email subscription process and a
disengagement programme.

The email initiative also kept customers fully up to date with Interflora
services, including the delivery of flowers (www.interflora.co.uk/) ,
hampers (www.interflora.co.uk/catalog/category.xml?category_id=2003283
) ; and special occasion gifts.

The winners of Best Use of Email are chosen for their imagination,
innovation, best practice and success. The judging panel comprised leading
lights within the online marketing and business sectors.

Michael Barringer, marketing director at Interflora, accepted the award
at the New Media Age event last night (June 24).
