Moscow. The event was organised by UK Trade & Investment and PR Newswire
Europe in partnership with Finance & Investment Markets Players Club (KIFIR).
The event was opened by Fiona Kushvid, Second Secretary

links between our two countries.

highlighting the importance of developing strong and transparent business in
Russia.
The discussions were led by a series of expert speakers. Mark Hynes,

knowledge on how to attract foreign investors in competitive international
market conditions.
President of Russian Regional banks Association, Anatoly
Aksakov, said that the new 2010 legislations to protect investor rights will
improve Russia's investment climate. In particular he mentioned new laws on
insider trading, clearing systems, exchanges, securitization and financial
dealings markets.
The Head of External Relations for Petropavlovsk Plc., Alya
Samokhvalova, described the difficulties, which are faced by those attracting
foreign investment into Russian entities.

Petersburg International Economic Forum who invited investors from all around
the world, especially from the UK, to SPIEF-2010 on June 17-19, 2010
