JEM analyzes, offers a visual representation of and manages all IT
systems on a company's internal network. It offers the ability to monitor,
analyze and control the energy consumption of all network-connected devices
and systems throughout the company. The Success for Future Awards honor
projects with depth and genuine social commitment, and which offer
accomplished solutions in the areas of environmental protection and
sustainability. Prizes are awarded in eight different categories.
"The award shows that there is more and more interest in topics such as
green IT and deploying sustainable solutions, both from the public and from
business. An increasing number of companies recognize that protecting the
environment and being successful in business are no longer incompatible. On
the contrary, cutting rising energy consumption and effectively reducing
costs require ecological innovation," explains Josef Brunner, co-founder and
executive director of JouleX.
"Acting sustainably is a matter for all of us and has been a key part of
BT's business strategy for the last 20 years. In initiating the Success for
Future Awards, we want to show that there are lots of fine examples of
companies where sustainability and business success go hand in hand. JouleX's
solution was a big hit with the jury, and I am very pleased that we are able
to award the BT Green Economy Award to a company which is a real game-changer
in the area of sustainability and energy efficiency. We hope that the prize
will also encourage other organizations and companies to get more closely
involved with pioneering solutions," explains BT Germany CEO Karsten Lereuth.
The Success for Future award is a newly created sustainability prize
which honors people, ideas and projects which combine business success with
sustainable action. With the help of interesting, realistic sustainability
projects, its objective is to promote greater engagement with sustainability
and to inspire imitation. The award was created and is sponsored by BT
Germany and Schuco International KG and is supported by EnBW and Bank Sarasin
AG.
