Juma Al Majid Wins the 2010 Quarter Million Club Award for the 7th Consecutive Year

Tyres and Batteries division of Juma Al Majid Group was awarded with another certificate of excellence for being the top performing distributor of Yokohama tyres (the world renowned Japanese brand of high performance automotive tyres) in the region.

This award is an annual commemoration of Yokohama rubber company’s world wide distributors, recognizing the best purchase & sales of 250,000 units and over, of Passenger Car Radials, 4×4 Tyres and High Performance Tyres segment.

Being a specialty hub with state of the art facilities (retail) across the country in all categories of tyres, with the best trained & professional personnel, JAM Tyres & Batteries division was able to induce more value into the growth of the brand and company. The significance of this award also indicates the strong presence of Yokohama brand in the UAE market.

Yokohama tyres are categorized as PCR (passenger car radials), HPT (high performance tyres), 4×4 (four wheel drive), SUV (sports utility vehicles), VAN (van tyres), LTR (light truck radials), TBS (truck & bus radials), OTR (off-the-road), ID (industrial). Most of the tyre types are tubeless especially in PCR, HPT, and 4×4.

Tyres & Batteries division manager Mr. Hassan El Haj said: “The demand for tyres in the market is surging, although 2011 should be seeing a deficit which will recover in 2012. With exception of the construction segment (commercial tyres), Tyres & Batteries (Yokohama) faired successfully to overcome the recession with professional plan & forecast.”
