MOUNTAIN VIEW, California -

Kaazing Corporation, makers of Websocket gateways that connect web-based applications to high-volume, real-time message traffic, today announced a partnership with Swedish systems integrator Jayway to handle integration of Kaazing’s products in Sweden and Denmark.

Internet giants like Google believe that this real-time Web, based on emerging technologies like HTML 5, is the future of application development; and many prominent technology investors are focusing their attentions on this area of the Internet in anticipation of its rapid growth.

“HTML 5 and its adoption will fundamentally change our understanding of programming for the Web,” said Bjorn Granvik, CTO of Jayway. “Scaling an Internet application will no longer just mean a big farm of servers on the backend. Startups will be able to go further, for less money, with the real-time Web. Social networking will go from mostly ‘watching/talking’ to actually doing things together-collaboration and shared applications. It may sound like a tired cliche, but this sector is just getting started.”

Kaazing’s founders are equally enthusiastic. “We couldn’t have chosen a better partner in Northern Europe than Jayway,” said Jonas Jacobi, CEO of Kaazing. “The company’s expertise and keen interest in adopting new ideas and technologies will help customers chart their course towards the real-time, interactive Web of tomorrow.”

“Jayway is constantly looking for new products and technologies that will help us and our customers. The Kaazing gateway is a perfect fit for us for next generation Web 2.0 applications. It both simplifies our architecture and scales,” said Granvik. “Kaazing’s ability to see what’s coming, their attention to their users’ needs, and their openness-both in knowledge and code-are important to us.”

Jayway expects to use Kaazing’s technology for mobile, financial and gaming applications, using the Kaazing Enterprise Gateway to set up a truly distributed environment that interacts with users smoothly, scales easily, and works with older browsers that don’t yet support some of HTML 5’s key features, such as Websockets.
