M2M Alliance, M2M Zone Agree Cooperation for CeBIT 2010

AACHEN, Germany -

The North American organizer of the M2M Zone exhibitions, Horizon House Publications, has agreed to join forces with the leading international organization for machine-to-machine communications technology — the European-based M2M Alliance e.V. — with the intent of making the massive CeBIT trade show one of the most important European gatherings for the M2M industry.

Under their Joint Marketing Agreement, the M2M Alliance will play an active role in developing content for conferences and Websites, in exchange for preferred pricing for its members at M2M Zone events. Both sides will provide the use of its marketing channels to the other in preparation for CeBIT 2010. CeBIT, which takes place every March in the German city of Hannover, drew more than 350,000 IT and communications professionals in 2009 from a variety of different industries.

“Our M2M clients typically sell into several different vertical markets. CeBIT is the only trade show in Europe that draws executives from a number of vertical markets that are crucial to M2M providers, including the automotive industry, healthcare, and telecommunications, just to name a few,” says Ivar Bazzy, CEO of Horizon House. The company organizes two M2M Zone exhibitions annually at shows put on by the CTIA — the leading North American trade association for wireless communication technology.
