LONDON - NALS, the National Approved Letting Scheme, has appointed Harrison Communications (PR) to provide press and general news media services.

NALS, the accreditation scheme for the private rented sector, was born of the government’s initiative to raise standards in the lettings industry and currently has more than 1,800 registered letting offices.

Said Caroline Pickering, Chair of NALS, “We are pleased to be able to appoint Harrison Communications with their wide experience in the private rental sector to help communicate the NALS name and the Scheme’s objectives at a time when, together with the rest of the industry, we are united behind so many of the recommendations of the Rugg and Carsberg reports and are poised to move forward.”

Harrison Communications worked with ARLA for many years and launched the concepts of Buy to Let and the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, the precursor of all of today’s deposit protection schemes.

Said Malcolm Harrison, “We are delighted to be working with NALS at a time when the private rented sector is heading for positive change. Together with our activities for clients in deposit protection, tenant referencing and rental guarantee we will be able to provide solid support for NALS and a very full picture of mainstream activity within the private rented sector.”
