Business Process Framework (eTOM) Conformant Solution will Help Communications Service Providers Simplify Procurement Processes

Redwood Shores, Calif. – May 11, 2011
News Facts
Oracle today announced that its Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/058922.html) solution is the first to complete the new TM Forum Frameworx Solution Certification (www.tmforum.org/SolutionAssessment/10660/home.html) process.
The TM Forum Solution Certification awarded to Oracle’s Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery solution demonstrates full conformance to the leading industry standards of Frameworx 10 (www.tmforum.org/TMForumPressReleases/TMForumLaunchesFrameworx/43864/article.html) from the TM Forum, down to Level 3 processes.
The certification covers the applicable portions of both the strategy, infrastructure & product (SIP) domain and the operations domain, including readiness, fulfillment, assurance and billing functions within the eTOM (www.tmforum.org/BestPracticesStandards/BusinessProcessFramework/1647/Home.html) models.
Oracle Communications has worked with the TM Forum to pioneer certification standards for pre-integrated, productized BSS/OSS solutions because of the associated benefits for communication service providers (CSPs). The use of a common language to identify industry best practices increases confidence in procurement, helps detect inefficiencies in processes, and reduces risk and implementation costs through a simplified assessment prior to purchase.
An industry milestone, the certification of Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery is a key step in enabling CSPs to:
Perform transformations with reduced integration risk, cost and effort
Improve operational efficiency and agility through standard processes and interfaces
Enable the rapid introduction of new services and business models
Leverage shared industry concepts and deployment experiences
Improve total customer experience and earn loyalty
Components of Oracle’s Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery solution include Oracle Communications Order and Service Management (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/046843.html) , Oracle’s Siebel CRM (www.oracle.com/siebel/index.html) , Oracle Product Hub for Communications (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/master-data-management/product-hub-082059.html) and Oracle Application Integration Architecture for Communications (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/046746.html) .
