GENEVA, Switzerland - In Line With its Recruitment Policy, Procter & Gamble in Geneva is Appointing Around 150 People per Year, Half of Whom Already Reside in the Region

A completely new and auspicious recruitment session over two days

P&G’s Beauty Department has organised two days of recruitment, on 16 and 17 April 2009, at its strategic business headquarters in Geneva. The selection process is of particular interest. Between December last year and March, a total of 890 applications from Swiss and European students attending prestigious Universities such as St. Andrews, the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Paris and Saint-Gall have been received via the website www.pgcareers.com.

A rigorous pre-selection process (online evaluations, analysis of CVs and logic tests) reduced the number of candidates to around thirty - three of whom are Swiss - to go forward to the two-day introduction to the company.

Welcomed in advance on Wednesday evening, the group made one another’s acquaintance by way of a rotating dinner. On Thursday, they were able to work in groups on interactive case studies about Lacoste, using a set of computer data to define strategies and put forward a proposal. In the evening, a quiz tour of the old town enabled the group to get to know Geneva. Friday was devoted to presentations and 3-hour individual interviews which will result in offers of employment and work placements for the successful candidates.
