Global Launch of 'Thank You Mom' Initiative Extends Campaign from Singapore through London 2012 Olympic Games

SINGAPORE, August 14, 2010 - Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) today announced the first in a series of
global 'Thank You Mom' initiatives at the inaugural Singapore 2010 Youth
Olympic Games, an international multi-sport event that features athletes
between the ages of 14 and 18. Recognizing the essential role that families
play in an Olympic athlete's life, P&G is defraying travel and lodging costs
for 25 moms from across the globe so that they can share their child's Youth
Olympic Games experience in Singapore.

Moms of Youth Olympic athletes from Argentina, Australia, Canada, France,
Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore,
South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States will be
recognized at a P&G Thank You Mom reception in advance of the Opening
Ceremony for the Youth Olympic Games.

The 'Thank You Mom' campaign, which launched at the Vancouver 2010
Olympic Winter Games, will continue with a series of initiatives after
Singapore, through the London 2012 Olympic Games. Thank You Mom initiatives
will support thousands of moms from around the world during events such as
holidays, Mother's Day and qualifying events for Olympic teams.

"P&G recognizes the sacrifice that families, and often moms, make to help
children achieve their Olympic dreams and we are proud to be able to say
'thank you' to those moms in a meaningful way," said P&G Global Marketing and
Brand Building Officer, Marc Pritchard. "We also celebrate the families of
the athletes because we know they didn't make it here alone. We will continue
our 'Thank You Mom' campaign on the road to 2012 and will be touching the
lives of thousands of moms throughout the next few years at important events
in their athletes' lives."

To build upon the success of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC)
partnership that began at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the
company will leverage the Olympic Movement partnership and its presence at
the Youth Olympic Games to deliver on its purpose-inspired growth strategy
and to help improve the lives of athletes, moms and their families around the
world.
