BOSTON, July 7, 2010 - RISI, the leading information provider for the forest products industry,
has revealed its Power List for 2010. The RISI Power List details the top 50
people or organizations that have been influential in shaping the course of
the global pulp and paper industry over the past 12 months.

The list is based on nominations from RISI's editors, engineers and
economists, as well as from professionals and experts from within the
industry. It includes leading figures from all parts of the supply chain,
including paper makers, NGOs, paper buyers, suppliers, financial analysts,
academics and politicians - and a number of people from outside the sector.

Heading the list for this year is John Faraci, chairman and CEO of the
world's largest pulp and paper producer, International Paper (IP). Faraci is
joined in the top 10 by other leading figures from the producer community,
including Antonio Maciel Neto of Suzano, APP's Teguh Ganda Wijaya, Jose
Luciano Penido
of Fibria, Li Hongxin from Shandong Sun Paper, Longview
Fibre's Randy Nebel, Jouko Karvinen of Stora Enso, and Kazuhisa Shinoda, Oji
Paper.

Two entries from outside the pulp and paper sector complete this year's
top 10. Mother Nature makes it on to the list at number 8 due to the impact
of the earthquake in Chile on the region's mills and the repercussions in the
global pulp markets. Meanwhile, Steve Jobs of Apple is included at number 5
thanks to the potential impact of the company's new iPad and other devices on
paper consumption.

"The past 12 months have been a challenging time for the global pulp and
paper sector, making it harder than ever to pick just 50 people to include on
our RISI Power List. We look forward to receiving feedback on our choices and
would like to congratulate everybody who has made the list for 2010,"
commented Rhiannon James-van Beuningen, Senior Vice President, Marketing
Services, RISI.
