Sommelier of the Year 2010 Praises Salzburg's Water

ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN, Austria, July 22, 2010 - Drinking lake water would strike anyone living in Central Europe as odd.
First Alexander Koblinger was no exception. But the sommelier for the clear
liquid has changed his mind. Being an expert in his field, it is no
coincidence that he was awarded the title 'Sommelier of the Year 2010' by the
renowned 'Rolling Pin' magazine.

For its travel magazine, the automobile club ADAC served Koblinger
several samples from the region. Among them were samples of the Krimmler
Wasserfalle waterfalls, soda, lake water, water from the tap, from a well and
melted ice from a cave. With exception of the melt water, all of them are
potable water approved. And this holds true for the water of Lake Zell, the
blue heart of Zell am See-Kaprun, too.

Alexander Koblinger's unambiguous result: in addition to being perfectly
drinkable, Salzburg's water tastes really great! About the sample of the
Krimmler waterfalls, the sommelier says that it has a slightly mineral taste,
comparable to wet stone. The overall impression was neutral with a
refreshing, smooth aftertaste. A group of Tibetan monks even called the
Krimmler waterfalls a source of power during their visit.

Holidaymakers who would like to benefit from the excellent quality of the
water in the region themselves should get the Zell am See-Kaprun Card which
is handed out when checking in at one of the more than 130 participating
accommodation providers. Then, guests can visit the lidos as well as the
Krimmler Wasserfalle waterfalls without paying an extra cent.
