The Number of Active Websites in uCoz System has Reached 1 Million

MOSCOW, March 5, 2010 - Currently, with 1 million of active websites uCoz has become
one of the largest free hosters in Eastern Europe.

The market of the system that offers its users not only
hosting service, but also a modern integrated website management system,
covers mainly Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Hungary.

A million of active accounts is the result of more than 4
years of web-service's work. Active websites are websites that are visited by
users and are not neglected by their owners. The number of ever created
websites is much bigger. "We have never had the task to exaggerate the size
of our user database, but we had the task to save resources of the company.
In the first place it is hardware - storing of "dead" websites is wasteful.
If we had not deleted neglected websites, we would have more than 7 million
accounts by now", - comments Evgeny Kurt, a managing partner of uCoz.

Similar worldwide website builders declare different numbers
which can be also estimated differently, taking into account the count
method. Specifically, such services like Jimdo, Weebly, and Yola declared to
have more than 2 million users each, but they took into consideration
accounts created for the whole period.
