Adform: New Rich Media Format Increases Click Rates Fivefold and Boosts Interaction

COPENHAGEN, June 1, 2011 -
With AdPages from the digital marketing company Adform, it is now truly
possible to merge traditional print media and online advertising. For
example, a PDF catalogue can be easily and quickly uploaded online and used
as an interactive rich media banner ad.
The pages turn automatically by interacting with the banner and a single
click displays the contents of the PDF file in full screen format. Functions
and examples of banners can be seen here:

The new rich media format was developed by Adform in cooperation with the
digital publishing company Issuu, and has already demonstrated great impact.
Compared to normal banner ads, the documented click rate is up to five times
higher and remarkably high interaction rates have been registered. These
results have led international companies including Coca-Cola, Deichmann,
Kraft Foods and Grazia (Bauer Media) to use AdPages.
"AdPages is a quick way of distributing catalogues to new customers.
Users have proven to spend a long time reading them and many have then signed
up to receive more catalogues via e-mail," says Fredrik Jerneke, online
manager at the Swedish builders merchant, Rusta.
By using AdPages instead of normal banners, Rusta achieved 50% more
newsletter subscribers. More than just the click rates and subsequent results
are impressive - interaction rates have also proved high. Up to 61% of users
who read the rich media format in full screen spend more than one minute
doing so - an unprecedented high level compared to traditional online
advertising.
"The click rates have been surprisingly high but equally as important, we
have managed to increase user engagement with the brands that use AdPages.
The interaction rates show a trend towards more loyal customers and we know
that users spend more time on these companies' websites after having read a
catalogue or magazine in full screen," says Lars Anthonisen, Marketing
Director at Adform.
AdPages supports 12 common file formats, including PDF and Word, and is
already found on Adform's online platform of the same name. A detailed
description of the product can be found here:
