CeBIT 2010: ARGUS Testers With Enhanced Scope of Features
By Intec Ges. Fur Informationstechnik Gmbh, PRNETuesday, February 16, 2010
LUEDENSCHEID, Germany, February 17, 2010 -
CeBIT 2010 02.-06.03.2010 Hall 12 Stand C43
- The Compact All-Round Tester ARGUS 145 Plus for VDSL2, ADSL, SHDSL,
Ethernet, ISDN BRI and POTS Now Also Supports Copper Tests and ISDN PRI/E1.
More interfaces, broader functional range: the ARGUS 145 plus is the
highlight at intec's booth. VDSL2, ADSL2+, SHDSL 2, 4, 6 and 8 wires,
Ethernet, POTS, as well as ISDN BRI S/T/U and, as of recently, also ISDN PRI
and E1 can be tested with this hand-held device - as usual without module
change. In addition to the interface compatibility the functional range was
also expanded: so-called copper tests (Cu tests) now provide a real-time
spectrum analysis to qualify the copper pair. Therefore a high-impedance mode
allows a passive connection to the subscriber line.
In addition to the ARGUS 145 plus, intec will be presenting further
current models of the ARGUS series at the CeBIT 2010. For example the testers
ARGUS 142 and ARGUS 141 which were introduced last autumn. The
multifunctional ARGUS 142 tests VDSL2, ADSL2+, Ethernet, ISDN BRI S/T/U and
POTS, as well as the physical condition of the local loop.
DSL installers looking for a low-cost yet high-quality solution for
testing IP data and VoIP telephony services on VDSL2 and ADSL2+ accesses are
optimally equipped with the ARGUS 141. Featuring a recent ADSL chip set and a
separate chip set for VDSL2, testers of the ARGUS 14x series achieve a
clearly better performance than typical single chip solutions.
Visitors to the fair can eyeball these and all other devices from the
ARGUS series personally at the intec booth (hall 12, stand C43). The intec
experts will be glad to answer questions and demonstrate products.
