AMSTERDAM, September 13, 2010 - IBC — Christie(R), a leader in visual solution technologies, is pleased
to announce that it is sponsoring, and participating again at, IBC2010 — the
leading international forum for the electronic media industry.
Christie has been welcoming visitors to its first ever decked stand since
Friday, the first day of the show, in Hall 11, stand E72. The first floor
will preview the most exciting innovations in projection this year to a
selected audience.
2010 sees Christie continue in its role as official supporter of the IBC
'Big Screen Experience' providing advanced digital projection technology for
movie screenings, conference sessions and technology demonstrations. The IBC
Big Screen
(www.ibc.org/page.cfm/EMSLinkClick=321_129_125_1932919_129782_3976) is
one of the highlights of IBC2010 and is located in the 1,700-capacity
auditorium in the centre of the RAI. Christie screened Toy Story 3D on
Saturday, and is looking forward to showing Avatar's director's cut on Monday
evening.
IBC's Director of Technology, Phil White, enthuses, "We are really
pleased to have the support of Christie again this year. The superior image
quality of Christie products really adds extra dimension to the Big Screen
experience, making it the best possible cinematic encounter available for
visitors to IBC2010."
True to its cutting edge reputation in the cinema industry, the company
is previewing the first and only 4K DLP(R) digital cinema projector, the
Christie CP4230, featuring the enhanced 4K DLP Cinema(R) chip from Texas
Instruments, designed to be compliant with the Digital Cinema Initiatives
(DCI) specification. It is the most robust and cost-effective 4K solution
available today, based on time-tested, highly reliable DLP Cinema technology.
Christie is proud to be showcasing the Christie Mirage WU7K-M, from its
Mirage Series. Featuring a full WUXGA resolution display, dual lamps at 6,300
ANSI lumens and built on proven 3-Chip DLP(R) technology, this stereoscopic
3D display system delivers crisp images, vibrant colors and uniform
brightness — all at the lowest cost of ownership.
Christie will also be presenting its latest addition in the high end
1Chip DLP product range, the Christie DHD670-E. Rated at 6,000 ANSI Lumens
and 5,000:1 contrast ration, this projector brings stellar performance and
value to the fixed installation market, making it ideal for small auditoriums
and medium-to-large meeting, training, and conference rooms.
IBC also offers an opportunity to see recent award winning products such
as Christie Entero(TM) and Christie MicroTiles(TM) - the New Digital Canvas,
not only on the Christie stand, but also in IBC's Production Village.
Christie MicroTiles have been developed with digital signage applications in
mind, and the stunning image quality the product delivers makes it an ideal
solution for signage and broadcast applications. Christie MicroTiles have
already been used to great effect, in a number of different shapes and sizes,
on the set of The Colbert Report (
