MOSCOW, September 13, 2011 -

Dassault will present two large cabin Falcons at Russia’s Jet Expo 2011, to be held between September 14-16. The 4,000 nm Falcon 2000LX and Dassault’s flagship the Falcon 7X will be on static display at Vnukovo-3 airport.  Dassault Falcon has had a presence in the region since the early 1990s, and today has a sales office in Moscow, as well as a Satellite Service Station to support operators in the area. Dassault Aviation plans to expand significantly Falcon’s presence in Russia in the coming years.

“Dassault Falcon has a positive outlook for the business aviation industry in Russia. As companies continue to invest and expand, particularly outside of Russia, they will continue to demand the most efficient methods of travel,” said Gilles Gautier, senior Vice President, Falcon Sales for the Eastern Hemisphere. “Russia is a very large country with tremendous energy resources and a rapidly expanding economy. We’re finding that Russian entrepreneurs and business owners are quick to adapt to business aviation because of the great advantages it offers in access and time management,” he added.

Russians value Falcon’s reliability, robustness and advanced technology especially in a environment where flying conditions are difficult with extremely low temperatures and short airfields.  More than 50 Falcon aircraft are currently in operation in Russia, representing almost 40% of the market share in the large cabin segment. Half of the new aircraft orders are for the Falcon 7X, the only business jet equipped with a fully-digital flight control system. The digital flight control system provides greater control, operational safety and a smother flight.

With long overland flights and great distances between airports, the three engine design of the Falcon 7X and the Falcon 900 are highly valued in Russia.  The three engine designs on both aircraft offer unequalled performance, versatility, safety and efficiency.

Falcon Performance & Efficiency a Key in Russia

Falcons efficient design and technological optimization means less weight, 20-40% less fuel consumption and lower emissions than other airplanes in their class.  ”With their exceptional performance and fuel efficiency, the entire Falcon fleet is positioned very nicely for long term success,” said John Rosanvallon.

Business jets are valued in the region as a powerful tool to enable quick and convenient access to customers within the country and worldwide. Falcons offer unique flexibility to the Russian customer. The Falcon 7X can connect Moscow with the business hubs of New York, Johannesburg or Singapore.  It is also the only airplane in its class that can connect Moscow to the challenging London City Airport in the heart of downtown London.  Additionally, the Falcon 7X is able to fly multiple short hops and then go on the final destination without the need to refuel.
