The substantial contract with Lufthansa is to supply two million gallons of fuel per annum, sourced from Q8Aviation’s dedicated import facilities at the Port of Koper in Slovenia.
Toby Simmons, Sales & Marketing Manager for Q8Aviation, says: ”We are delighted to introduce a jet fuel service at Verona; this is another significant step in our plan to extend our portfolio of European airports and to maximise the use of our import facilities. We are also using Koper to supply fuel for our operations at Venice and Vienna airports. The benefit is that our import facilities at the port are backed by excellent onward transport connections, which enable us to provide our customers with a quick, efficient and secure fuel supply.”
Verona joins Q8Aviation’s rapidly expanding European network of more than 50 airports. In addition to the Port of Koper, Q8Aviation has dedicated import facilities at Le Havre, Rotterdam and Avonmouth in south-west England. With fuel supplied from Kuwait, Q8Aviation can justly claim a secure “wellhead to wingtip” service.
Q8Aviation is the world’s sixth largest supplier of aviation fuel. It provides jet fuel to around 200 airlines at more than 50 airports across Europe, Africa and Pacific Asia, in addition to offering its technical and operational expertise on a consultancy basis
Founded in 1983, Q8Aviation is part of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the state oil company of Kuwait and one of the world’s largest oil producers. KPC’s backing gives Q8Aviation a unique fuel supply chain - ’safely from well head to wing tip’ - strengthened by its investment in import facilities at major European ports.
Q8Aviation was named Best Regional Marketer in Europe in the 2010 Armbrust Annual Survey.
