Elsevier Organizes 50th ECSA Conference Focusing on Potentially Massive Risks for the Trajectory of Coastal Environments

AMSTERDAM, September 8, 2011 -

Elsevier, world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, organizes the 50th Estuarine & Coastal Sciences Association (ECSA) Conference: “Today’s Science for Tomorrow’s Management”.   The conference, taking place 3-7 June 2012 in Venice, seeks to find answers to potentially massive risks for the long-term changes to coastal environments.

The conference marks the 50th anniversary of international meetings organized by the Estuarine & Coastal Sciences Association. It is held in collaboration with Elsevier’s international journal Estuarine Coastal and Shelf Science and will cover the fundamental natural and social sciences for estuaries, coasts and marine areas and emphasizes the links to integrated and sustainable management of these areas.
