DALLAS, June 1, 2011 -

Entrust, Inc. (www.entrust.com/) , a world leader in securing
digital identities and information, today announces the release of Entrust
IdentityGuard
(www.entrust.com/strong-authentication/identityguard/index.htm) 10.0,
which brings together security solutions for three distinct, yet closely knit
worlds - physical, logical and mobile
(www.entrust.com/mobile-security/index.htm) access. This latest update
to Entrust's award-winning authentication platform offers users a single
platform that delivers the broadest range of authenticators on the market,
provides secure access through today's leading mobile platforms for business
and simplifies the issuance and management of smartcards
(www.entrust.com/physical-logical/index.htm) by integrating card and
certificate management.

"With the rising number of targeted attacks on corporations, as well as
exponential growth in mobile devices, corporate security requirements are at
an all time high. As we looked at our customers' needs, we saw that it made
sense to bring our powerful software authentication platform together for
physical, logical and mobile access making a more comprehensive
authentication solution," said Entrust President and CEO Bill Conner
(www.entrust.com/corporate/management/bill_conner.htm). "With just one
software platform, Entrust can now offer corporations access to an array of
authenticators which can be adjusted based on current need and risk, a
user-friendly method to manage both physical and logical security and
addresses the growing role mobile devices play in today's business
environments. We are confident that Entrust IdentityGuard 10.0 is the premier
solution to address not only the security needs of today, but also the
security needs of tomorrow."

Through its single versatile platform, Entrust IdentityGuard 10.0 enables
organizations to easily manage and deploy a comprehensive range of unique
authenticators simultaneously which can be issued based on specific
requirements, associated risk and cost. The platform leverages a single
administrative interface which allows organizations to manage and adjust
security for a wide range of user groups, ranging from millions of consumers
to a select group of senior executives. This flexibility enables
organizations to adjust security in real-time to meet the quickly changing
threat landscapes or future regulatory requirements.

By offering Smart Credentials under Entrust IdentityGuard 10.0,
organizations can also simplify the issuance and management of Smart Cards to
better integrate and secure physical and logical security. Entrust On
Premises or Managed Services PKI is integrated onto the single platform
Entrust IdentityGuard 10.0, offering users the ability to seamlessly issue
and manage Smart Cards. Organizations do not have to immediately implement
both physical and logical access solutions; through the platform, users have
the flexibility to address their logical and physical access requirements in
a staged deployment to maintain business continuity. The platform's
extensibility further enables organizations to add functionality to the
system, as new security innovations are made available.

"As the technology landscape continues to evolve, authentication
platforms need to be designed with the future in mind. A platform that
doesn't take into account future shifts such as biometric standards or easy
integration of smartcards could leave an organization paralyzed with outdated
capabilities," stated a commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting
on behalf of Entrust.(1)

As the only authentication platform that fully enables today's leading
mobile platforms for business, Entrust IdentityGuard 10.0 enables the rapidly
growing number of mobile devices that connect to corporate networks. Entrust
IdentityGuard 10.0 now enables certificate-based enrollment and
authentication for mobile devices. Using the platform, users can easily
register their mobile device through the Entrust IdentityGuard Self Service
Module and have a digital ID downloaded directly onto their device.

"While the malware threat against smartphones will grow, we do not
believe the same approach used to secure PCs in the past will be effective,
let alone efficient, against smartphone threats. Enterprises need to be more
flexible, focusing on security approaches to enable secure use of a wider
range of devices. All this adds up to the need for new approaches to develop
security processes and controls as smartphone use grows," said John Pescatore
and John Girard, both VPs and distinguished analysts with Gartner. (2)

This builds on existing mobile capabilities including providing users
with independent activation and control to manage security for multiple
identities based on one device. It also helps organizations fight the
persistent advance of fraud techniques through out-of-band authentication
capabilities enhanced with the inclusion of one-time-passcode (OTP) SMS soft
tokens.

Financial organizations can also leverage the recently announced Entrust
IdentityGuard Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) for today's popular
mobile platforms, including Apple, Google Android, RIM BlackBerry and Java.
The easy-to-use security toolkit allows banks to transparently embed
Entrust's strong authentication technology into their organization's new or
existing mobile-banking application. By using the Entrust IdentityGuard
Mobile SDK, banks can offer customers a secure banking application that
clearly carries the banks brand and does not present significant usability
hurdles.
