JAKARTA, Indonesia, September 14, 2010 - Food ingredients (Fi) exhibition series reveals the potential of the
Asian markets; with pioneering events in Indonesia, Vietnam and the
Philippines
, the Fi portfolio paves the way for international ingredients
suppliers into South East Asia.

Economic growth and expanding middle class in the ASEAN region have
stimulated changes in consumer behaviour. More women in urban areas enter the
workforce and prefer the convenience of processed food products, while
healthy eating is becoming more popular. These factors, together with retail
development and exposure to Western culture, contribute to the growth in
processed food consumption.

The great potential of the region did not go unnoticed; with the
objective to serve industry's needs, the Fi team has developed dedicated
events in the region's main markets. Fi Asia in Indonesia, taking place on
September 2010, is the primary event, followed by a smaller shows in Vietnam
(December 2010) and The Philippines (July 2011). Additionally, Fi Asia in
Thailand will return in 2011.

"We have followed market developments and listen to our clients," says
Vincent Brain, Event Director. "Fi Asia, who will premiere in Indonesia this
year, enjoyed high interest from the beginning. The exhibition floor was
already fully booked two months before the event, forcing us to open a
waiting list. We have also seen the return of all the big names of the
industry, which highlights the importance of Indonesia to future business."

The well established Fi trade exhibitions run in Asia since 1996 and
enjoy the support of IUFoST, the International Union of Food Science &
Technology, VAFoST (the Vietnam Association of Food Science & Technology) and
PAFT (Philippine Association of Food Technologists). An experience of 15
years has gained the company loyal client base composed of the industry's
leading suppliers, including Cargill, DSM, Kerry, Fortitech, Purac, CP Kelco
and Tate & Lyle.

Fi Asia 2009, held in Bangkok, Thailand, featured more than 250
exhibitors and attracted more than 6,200 food professionals from around the
globe. Fi Asia 2010 will run from 29 September - 1 October 2010 at JI Expo
Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia.
