Nick Cherryman and James Kitching to Join Fried Frank as Partners in London

LONDON, June 3, 2010 - Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced today that Nick
Cherryman and James Kitching are joining the Firm's litigation practice as
partners based in the Firm's London office. These significant hires highlight
the expansion of the Firm's established litigation, international
arbitration, and securities enforcement and white-collar crime practices into
the United Kingdom.

Nick Cherryman specializes in international arbitration and large
multi-jurisdictional and international commercial disputes, with substantial
experience in handling fraud and related matters. In addition to his
extensive arbitration practice, Mr. Cherryman retains his rights of audience
in the Higher English Courts and has represented clients in the Court of
Appeal and the House of Lords (now the Supreme Court) and in the courts of
other common law countries. He has substantial cross-border experience,
having also handled arbitration and litigation matters in a number of non-UK
jurisdictions. He was previously a partner with Bryan Cave and prior to that
he practiced for over 10 years as a commercial and chancery barrister in
leading chambers in London.

James Kitching, who is a barrister, has significant experience in
white-collar crime, enforcement, and special investigations work. Mr.
Kitching also handles litigation and international arbitration proceedings,
principally in relation to high-value commercial contract and fraud disputes.
He continues to exercise full rights of audience and represents clients in
the Queen's Bench and Chancery Divisions of the High Court and other
tribunals. Mr. Kitching will also join the Firm from Bryan Cave, where he is
presently subject to a notice period.

"Investigatory and commercial dispute resolution matters are becoming
increasingly cross-border, and London is an important center for these
matters. Nick and James' experience and expertise greatly enhance our ability
to serve our clients' needs in these areas as we further extend our
established international arbitration, investigations and litigation
practices in the UK and EU," said partner and chair of the Firm's litigation
department, William G. McGuinness.

Fried Frank's chairperson Valerie Ford Jacob added, "We are delighted to
welcome both Nick and James to the Firm. Their breadth of practice and
hands-on advocacy skills are very well suited to the growing needs of our UK
and international clients."
