Martin Oxley of BuzzBack Market Research Awarded MRS Fellowship; Oxley also to Present at ESOMAR Congress

Martin Oxley, Managing Director of BuzzBack Europe, has been awarded a Fellowship by the Market Research Society. Each year, the MRS awards Fellowships to individuals to recognize exceptional contributions and achievements in research. The MRS is the world’s largest association serving all those with professional equity in provision or use of market, social, and opinion research.

In addition, Oxley will present with Nestle Foods at the annual ESOMAR Congress in Montreux, Switzerland, September 15-18. The presentation, “Looking Under the Hood of Corporate Social Responsibility,” reveals cultural differences around attitudes and perceptions of corporate social responsibility, and how this impacts today’s corporations, such as Nestle.

Oxley has worked in research for 20 years, including two of the biggest global custom firms: Ipsos and TNS. He travelled through the acquisition trail working at Infratest Burke which became NFO and then TNS. At TNS he was responsible for driving the uptake of online research in Europe, being responsible for the commercial launch and introduction of new online techniques. He also managed the launch of TNS’s European online panels and was part of a global leadership team driving online research. Prior to TNS he ran Ipsos-ASI in the UK where he discovered the charms of online research in 1998.

He has been a regular speaker at ESOMAR, MRS and other industry conferences and won best case study at ESOMAR in 2001. He has also sat on an EFAMRO committee to set online standards for Europe. He coined the expression ‘research 2.0′ at a conference in London in 2006 to isolate the differences between past and future research. He established BuzzBack Europe in 2007 because he was excited about the fact that the company develops its own technology to take advantage of the opportunities that research 2.0 provides.
