By Prne, Gaea News NetworkWednesday, March 11, 2009
LONDON - With over half of all aircraft orders coming from the Middle East, the
region’s aviation industry looks set to survive the economic downturn. Middle
Eastern airlines will be gathering in Dubai on 24th & 25th March to discuss
their maintenance strategies and listen to presentations from a line-up of
top speakers at the Middle East Airline Engineering & Maintenance Conference
2009. The event is produced by Aviation Industry Conferences
(www.aviationindustryconferences.com), part of UBM Aviation
(www.ubmaviation.com).
Topics on offer include an analysis of growth and opportunities for
airlines and MROs in the region, and a variety of technical subjects focusing
on the maintenance of engines, components and interiors. There will also be
presentations on maintenance management, featuring planning and scheduling,
software and manpower topics.
“With over 40 per cent of the registrations coming from airlines in the
Middle East, this conference will be an important opportunity to meet the key
regional airline operators at one venue to discuss maintenance strategies and
industry co-operation. The demand we have seen for our event is a positive
sign that Middle Eastern carriers are weathering the downturn better than
most and looking for strategic industry partnerships to ensure they stay that
way.”
Registered airlines include Amiri Flight, Air Arabia, EgyptAir, Emirates,
Etihad, Jazeera Airways, Kuwait Airways, Kuzu Airlines, Oman Air, Pakistani
International Airlines, Qatar Airways, Royal Jet, Royal Jordanian, Silver
Air, Syrian Arab Airlines, Wataniya Airways and Yemen Airways.
This event is endorsed by the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) and
is sponsored by HEICO, Mxi Technologies, AeroTurbine, Willis Lease and
