Mooreland Partners Expands Representation in Israel

Asael Karfiol joins Mooreland Partners, expanding coverage of the Israeli Market
LONDON, July 15, 2010 - Mooreland Partners, a global technology focused investment banking firm,
announced today that Asael (Asi) Karfiol has joined the firm as Executive
Director. Asi is based in Tel Aviv, Israel where he will work directly with
the Mooreland teams in Silicon Valley, Greenwich, New York and London in
order to expand the firm's global reach and representation in the Israeli
market.
Asi has spent much of his career as a venture capitalist investing in
Israeli technology companies with firms such as Hyperion Israeli Venture
Partners, Ascend Venture Capital and ITI. Earlier in his career Asi was
Marketing Manager for the Keter Plastics Group and General Manager of an
international marketing consulting firm for leading Israeli corporations. Asi
attained the rank of Captain in the IDF, where he served as head of an
electronic warfare development team. Asi serves on a number of public and
private boards of directors and was awarded a BSc (summa cum laude) in
Electrical Engineering and an MBA (magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.
