LONDON, November 10, 2011 -

New series of The Fast Show is back - even faster - with Foster’s Funny

The Fast Show cast is back together after more than a decade, taking Britain’s best-loved sketch show online for the first time, courtesy of Foster’s Funny.

The series which premieres on 10th November 2011 on Fosters.co.uk will have a total of twelve weekly episodes, each around five minutes long.

After much hype and anticipation, the characters making a comeback have finally been revealed and fans of The Fast Show will be pleased to see some of their favourites back with their recognisable catchphrases. Aristocratic landowner Ralph still yearns to spend more time with his lugubrious estate worker Ted, classic car salesman Swiss Toni continues to liken everything to “making love to a beautiful woman”, Inspector Monkfish wants “a cup of tea, two sugars!” and the Insecure Woman asks “Does my bum look big in this?” There is also a nod to current costume dramas like Downton Abbey in which some unexpected characters make an appearance.

Fast Show creators Charlie Higson and Paul Whitehouse are re-united with original co-stars Caroline Aherne, Simon Day, John Thompson and Arabella Weir in the new series.

Foster’s is the leading sponsor of comedy in the UK with a sponsorship portfolio that includes the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards, the 2011 British Comedy Awards and over 100 hours of Original Comedy programming on Channel 4. The Foster’s commissioned internet series Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge attracted over 3 million hits and universal acclaim, cementing the brand’s position at the cutting-edge of British comedy.

Foster’s recently announced plans to sponsor Foster’s Comedy Live, a series of live stand-up shows in Highlight comedy club venues across the country and Foster’s Funny Live , a new programme of stand-up comedy in pubs and clubs throughout the UK.
