Poetry of Drawing Press Pack

BIRMINGHAM, England, January 25, 2011 - An online press pack offering insights into UK exclusive of The Poetry of
Drawing exhibition at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is now available to
download at www.bmag.org.uk/press-area.
The press pack provides an introduction to the Pre-Raphaelite
Brotherhood, led by Rossetti, Millais and Holman Hunt, and the importance
that that placed on drawing. It also includes a guide to several of the key
images that are on display.
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is the only UK venue for this
international touring exhibition of nearly 300 works of art, many on show for
the first time. The Poetry of Drawing is the most comprehensive survey of
Pre-Raphaelite drawings, watercolours and prints ever staged, displaying
works from Birmingham's world-renowned collections alongside key loans from
public and private lenders.

images that can be downloaded for use in reviews and articles on the Poetry

There are also previews of the exhibition taking place on Wednesday 26 -
Friday 28 January 2011. Colin Cruise the curator of the show and author of
the book Pre-Raphaelite Drawing, will be available on Thursday 27 January to
give a tour of the exhibition and to answer any questions.
