Rentabiliweb Launches France's 1st Sponsored Payment Platform on Facebook and Internet

New Micropayment Technology
BRUSSELS, November 24, 2010 - Rentabiliweb, a specialist in audience monetization and Europe's premier
"one-stop" provider of profitable solutions for Internet and mobile phone
professionals, is announcing the launch of www.OfferPass.fr/, France's
first sponsored payment platform on Facebook and on Internet, as well as the
signing of a partnership with Mediastay.
History
During summer 2010, Mediastay and Rentabiliweb conducted a broad survey
on the behavior of online shoppers. This survey, whose results were not
disclosed to the public, showed that most Internet users who wanted to buy
virtual content (music, games, etc.) opted out of their purchase at the time
of payment.
The Rentabiliweb and Mediastay Groups then pooled their technological
expertise and sales networks in an exclusive venture to create the
French-language market's first sponsored payment platform.
This same study showed that a growing number of different purchasing
habits were developing on social networks, namely Facebook. The OfferPass
platform was thus specifically created in order to be tailored to these
networks.
Advantages
This innovative solution is part of the performance-based marketing arena
in which Rentabiliweb is a pioneer and has been active since 2004 with strong
brands such as Topoffres, ConsoClient and Mailorama. This new means of
payment enables advertisers to sponsor the virtual item the Internet user
would like to purchase in exchange for an action on their site or on their
Facebook applications.
There is a real benefit for Web users and online shoppers. In exchange
for signing up for a newsletter, completing a form or requesting
documentation, for example, they receive one or more micropayment codes
complementary of the Sponsors.
"If we look at the performance of sponsored payment solutions in the
United States, the launch of OfferPass should give new momentum to the
micropayment market in Europe and considerably strengthen our
performance-based advertising range, the only measure of profitability for
advertisers," commented Corinne Chatal, Vice-President of Rentabiliweb.
Exclusive partnership with Mediastay
The partnership between Rentabiliweb and Mediastay enables each company
to bring its own expertise and value added in order to provide profitable
solutions to Internet site and Facebook application publishers.
The OfferPass solution is today offered to all customers already
monetizing their audiences thanks to Rentabiliweb Group's payment solutions.
As part of this exclusive partnership, Mediastay is mobilizing its network of
several hundred active advertisers, a benchmark network on the French
advertising market.
"Rentabiliweb has been working with Mediastay for several years," added
Jean-Baptiste Descroix-Vernier, Chairman and founder of Rentabiliweb. "I
personally have great respect for its responsive, efficient staff and for
their top-flight online advertising technology."
"We are proud to be creating synergies and optimizing our advertising
monetization tools and expertise with Europe's highest-performance audience
monetizer," stated Eric Bennephtali, founder and Managing Director of
Mediastay.
Several advertisers are already using OfferPass and are the first to
benefit from the advantages of this solution. These include PMU, Meetic,
Gameduell, la Redoute and EDF, to name but a few.
