Tata Interactive Systems' Learning Games get Serious Attention at Learning Technologies 2010

Recently Concluded a Highly Successful Session on Serious Games at Learning
Technologies 2010.
Tata Interactive Systems' session on Serious Games, conducted by Amardeep
Saluja, President - UK at TIS garnered a lot of interest, amongst visitors to
Learn Tech 2010, UK The session commanded a full house and generated serious
enquiries at the stall and post the event as well.
The use of serious games is a novel concept that is rapidly gaining

Elaborating on three types of games that fall in the ambit of serious
games, Amardeep said, "Skill-based Serious games are aimed at building skills

While Amardeep took the audience through one example of each genre of
Serious Games, and also touched upon various instructional approaches, he was
accompanied by Chandra Shekhar Ghildiyal, Head - Serious Games at TIS who
provided demonstrations of the various Serious Games. He added, "With serious
games, the outcome is determined by the player's ability to demonstrate a
specific set of business critical skills."
Amardeep mainly focused on the business need that is addressed by Serious
Games, TIS' approach, and concluded the session with impact and results that
prove that playing games can actually improve workplace performance.
