Telesat Appoints New Vice President, International Sales

OTTAWA, Ontario - Telesat Holdings Inc. (Telesat), the world’s fourth largest satellite operator, announced today the appointment of Nigel Gibson as the company’s Vice President, International Sales. Based in London, UK, Mr. Gibson will report to Telesat’s President and CEO and also will serve on the executive management committee of the company. He brings to Telesat deep experience in the satellite and broadcasting industries.

Nigel has significant experience and a strong track record as a sales professional and manager in our industry,” said Dan Goldberg, Telesat’s President and CEO. “I look forward to working closely with him to satisfy the requirements of our current and prospective customers and to continue to drive utilization of Telesat’s international satellite fleet.”
Mr. Gibson held the position of Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and CIS at SES New Skies. Before joining SES New Skies, Mr. Gibson served as Vice President of Sales for Northern Europe with GlobeCast. Prior to GlobeCast, he was in the broadcasting industry as head of DTH Marketing for Sky Television in the UK. Mr. Gibson is a native of London, UK and was educated at the Leeds Metropolitan University.
