Vale Inco Reaches New Collective Agreement With USW Local 2020-005

SUDBURY, Canada, March 31, 2010 - Vale Inco is pleased to announce that USW
Local 2020-005, representing Office, Technical and Professional employees in
the Sudbury Operations, has voted 84.5% in favor of ratifying a new three-year
collective agreement with the company in voting that concluded today.
This agreement is effective from April 1, 2010 through to March 31, 2013
and includes increases to salaries in each of the three years, a Defined
Contribution pension plan for new employees, the introduction of an annual
incentive plan that supports the achievement of strategic objectives and
rewards performance; and various other improvements to collective agreement
language.
