Electrocomponents Achieves NSPCC Patron Status

Over GBP150,000 Raised for Leading UK Children's Charity

OXFORD, England, December 17, 2010 - Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's largest high service
distributor of electronics and maintenance products, announced it has
achieved patron status with the NSPCC, the UK's leading charity against
cruelty to children. Employees in the region have raised over GBP150,000
in the last ten years through payroll donation and regular charity events.

Jenni Cowlishaw, NSPCC Corporate Fundraising Manager for the Midlands

Electrocomponents was invited to join the NSPCC Family as a lifelong
patron member in recognition of the significant donations made and the
