Air China Transports 10,000 Pilgrims to Mecca

Over 30 charter flights have taken passengers to the holy meeting site
BEIJING, November 26 - Between 30th October to 18th November, Air China transported nearly
10,000 pilgrims to the holy meeting site of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. There are
nearly 20 million Muslims in China at present and the number of pilgrims
visiting Mecca has increased each year. Air China has been transporting
pilgrims on charter flights to Mecca for many years.

Over 30 Air China flights to Mecca departed from Beijing, Lanzhou,
Yinchuan and Kunming from 30th October to 18th November. Despite difficulties
in changing schedules, inclement weather and complicated flight lines, all
Air China journeys were a success. Special meals were provided to passengers
according to their religious customs and beliefs.
Air China has arranged for charter flights to return pilgrims from Mecca
between the 2nd and 23rd December, after the end of the Hajj festivities.
