Electrocomponents Appoints New Head of eCommerce

Keith Reville to Spearhead Continued Expansion of Online Strategy
OXFORD, England, November 1, 2010 - Electrocomponents PLC (www.electrocomponents.com/) (LSE:ECM),
the world's largest high service distributor of electronics and maintenance
products, today announces the appointment of Keith Reville to the new
position of General Manager of eCommerce. Keith is appointed to the
Executive Committee of Electrocomponents and assumes overall responsibility
for driving forward the Group's eCommerce strategy and continuing to enrich
the online experience for customers of RS Components (
www.rs-components.com/index.html) and Allied Electronics
(www.alliedelec.com/) around the world.
Keith joins the Group from Orange UK Ltd where he held the position of
Director of Online Sales, responsible for the company's online mobile store
and telesales operations, which generated over GBP600m in revenues. His
previous roles include Director of eBusiness at Hilton International Ltd and
Head of Dotcom Sales at Thomas Cook UK.
eCommerce is at the heart of Electrocomponents's growth strategy. It was
the first company in the sector to have a transactional eCommerce capability
in 1998 and today the group's 49 websites receive a total of 5.5 million
visits from over 2.5 million users each month.
Commenting on the new appointment, Ian Mason, Group Chief Executive said:
"Our online business is expanding rapidly, and now represents 47% of our
revenues. Keith's strong track record in growing eCommerce revenues makes him
the ideal person to lead our online business as we continue to invest in its

total revenues from eCommerce and Keith's appointment reflects our desire to
achieve that target sooner rather than later."
