By Gpsgate, PRNEMonday, November 30, 2009
STOCKHOLM, December 1 - GpsGate has released GpsGate VehicleTracker 2.3, a web based GPS tracking
application for transportation companies and tracking solution providers.
This version adds a redesigned user interface for improved operator
efficiency, configurable system alerts for immediate email and SMS
notifications and a mobile application interface for managers working in the
field.
VehicleTracker is an application on GpsGate Server, a web based real time
GPS tracking platform. The application is run in a standard web browser or in
a mobile web interface available for field access from mobile phones. System
alerts that require immediate attention can be sent over SMS and email. "With
GpsGate Server we can help our customers filter out relevant information for
immediate action so they can be notified if the temperature is too high in a
food transport or if a truck has not left in time for a pick up. With
immediate alerts they can avoid penalties from their customers", said Fredrik
Ostman CEO at at Neureka Technology, a leading tracking solution provider in
Sweden.
GpsGate Server supports localization, branding, application extension and
integration with other systems through open APIs. This makes it suitable for
companies offering GPS tracking services in their own language under their
own brand. "Time to market is essential for us and GpsGate gives us the edge
to quickly offer our customers the tracking solutions they need. With GpsGate
Server we can have solutions ready in hours rather than weeks or months.",
said Alberto Barba at Alda Digital de Mexico, a leading tracking solution
provider in Mexico.
"One of the unique capabilities of GpsGate Server is that it is open, so
that users can configure and extend the platform. We help customers to
dispatch vehicles and locate the right places for deliveries. We can lower
the time to find the location from an average of 15 minutes down to 2 minutes
saving a lot of time an money", said Arman Taghian Regional Manager of GateX,
a leading location based solutions provider in the Middle East.
A large number of different clients can be connected to GpsGate Server
including dedicated tracking devices, Windows laptops, Windows Mobile devices
and other mobile phones. This makes the platform future proof and simplifies
mergers of multiple fleets. Multiple map providers are supported, including
custom maps. "With GpsGate Server my customers can use any tracking device
and their favorite local maps. If my customers need different languages I can
offer this too", said Piotr Majewski CEO of Rikaline, a leading tracking
solution provider in Poland.
"We are pleased to make life easier for fleet managers around the world
and at the same time enable our partners to build a profitable tracking
business based on GpsGate Server", said Henrik Thomasson, Product Manager at
