DUBAI, UAE -

- New Academic Year Offers Additional Educational Courses

Hult International Business School, the world’s first global business school, and the first academic institution from the United States to be licensed in the UAE, is celebrating the graduation of its inaugural class. On August 20th, 97 students from 29 countries will graduate from the School’s top-ranked MBA program.

Hult’s students hail from all corners of the globe and are able to gain a truly global business education. Furthermore, its global rotation program is a fantastic asset to students, allowing them to study elective modules in Dubai, Boston, London and Shanghai.

The School is ranked 31st best in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit and was this year, for the first time, included in the Financial Times list of top 100 business schools. This makes Hult the only top-ranked business school to offer a full-time MBA program in the Middle East.

Despite the downturn, more than 40 per cent of Hult’s Dubai 2009 graduates have already accepted a post-MBA job, or are screening offers. Robin Nurse, Global Head of Careers Services, says “Despite the very gloomy business environment our students are finding positions and the current employment rate at the Dubai campus is outstripping the rate at our more established campuses in Boston and London. For the first year of operation, that is fantastic.”

“We are extremely excited to be able to offer world-class education in a dynamic city such as Dubai and are looking forward to strengthening our position within the Middle East. Our new academic year will boast a much broader offering of Master’s & MBA programs including an innovative MBA Honours program for MBA graduates looking to refresh their business knowledge,” said Nick van der Walt, Academic Dean.

The academic year 2009/10 will also see the continuation of the popular Pocket MBA Seminars, intense two-day courses covering topical areas of particular interest to senior managers. In the past year this series was oversubscribed with more than 150 participants enrolling for each event.

Hult’s President Dr Stephen Hodges said: “The decision to come to Dubai was certainly the right move for Hult - the demand from around the world to study in Dubai is just incredible. We are now looking forward to expand the range of programs offered here with a particular focus on meeting the strong demand for education and training from local corporates and senior managers.”
