Icera Grows Mobile Broadband Revenues in 2009

BRISTOL, England, January 18 - Icera Inc., the Mobile Broadband semiconductor company, today
announced strong year-on-year growth for 2009, with fourth quarter 2009
revenues approximately 4x that of the same quarter in 2008, representing the
company's sixth successive quarter of growth. Icera is continuing to extend
global market share for its chipsets, which are used in high performance,
high speed Mobile Broadband devices such as USB modem sticks, embedded
modules for netbooks and eReaders and future SmartPhones.

During the last quarter of 2009 several customers began
shipping Icera-powered devices at 14Mbps, a doubling of peak data rates for
users and a major node for many operators in 2010. Icera is now sampling its
21Mbps HSPA+ modem technology, uniquely by way of a software enhancement for
the same chipset.
