Oracle to Demonstrate Innovation and Commitment to Communications, Media and Entertainment Industries at Oracle OpenWorld

Communications, media and entertainment industry executives from around the world will gather at the upcoming Oracle OpenWorld (www.oracle.com/us/openworld/index.htm) conference, September 19 – 23, 2010 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, to share new ways to leverage Oracle’s hardware and software solutions to boost revenues, meet customer expectations and accelerate growth in the market.

Oracle Communications will host more than 40 sessions at Oracle OpenWorld, including presentations from industry leaders such as BT, Dow Jones, Paramount Pictures, Telekom Malaysia, Telecom Personal and Verizon.
On Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. PDT, Bhaskar Gorti, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications will describe how Oracle is driving customer business value and transforming the industry landscape through cutting-edge thought leadership and innovation in software, hardware and systems. The keynote will take place at The Palace Hotel, 2 Montgomery Street, San Francisco.
As Oracle continues to expand its industry-leading portfolio, Liam Maxwell, vice president of products, and Nigel Ball, vice president of solutions, will discuss Oracle Communications strategy and product roadmap on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. PDT at The Palace Hotel.
In addition, Bhaskar Gorti will host a media roundtable on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. PDT at Moscone Center, Room 131 to reveal the results of Oracle Communications’ “Opportunity Calling: The Future of Mobile Communications” report, which surveyed more than 3,000 mobile phone users globally to examine their perceptions of mobile phones, interest in new technologies and expectations for the next generation of mobile communication.
Among the demos at OpenWorld, Oracle Communications will showcase new services and charging models across legacy and IP networks. This demo will show how operators and service providers can deliver differentiated offerings through converged web and communications services. Oracle Communications demos will happen at The Palace Hotel, 2nd Floor Atrium.
